About Me

My name is William Smith and I’m a handyman. Everyone calls me William so I don’t get confused with another Will Smith who fights aliens/other creatures and welcomes you to Miami. I live in the suburb of a big city where I do different types of jobs when I receive calls from people who need help. From installing plumbing to doing landscape and other types of work, I stay pretty busy.

At times I know that it isn’t possible for people to call up a plumber, HVAC expert, or other handyman and that is why I created this blog. I try to select and write about topics that I have found to be common as I have worked as a handyman. I also try to explain them in a way that will help the do-it-yourself population. I also try to give tips on other topics such as where to look for parts, products, and other help.

My hope is that I can help others save time and money as they have to fix old problems in their homes or as they try to improve their home by updating different aspects of it. I have always enjoyed working with different tools and figuring out how they can work to the best of my advantage to make jobs easier.

As I write posts, I try to put myself back to the time when I had no experience in the chosen topic so I can write it in a way that first-timers can understand. It doesn’t always work out the way it should, so please be patient and accept that I’m not perfect!
